You pick a time that suits you when you book.
- A locked account
- A strange text
- A hacked email
- A new phone
- A full storage warning
- Two-step sign-in
- A password manager
- A backup
- A scam call
- A slow laptop
Criminals pose as tech support, so honest help is hard to find.
You are locked out, or something looks wrong, or you are simply overwhelmed. The company that made your phone will help with their own product and nothing else, and the stranger offering help online might be the problem.
I built this session to be the help I would want for my own family: someone who works beside you, in your own accounts, and never asks for your password.
Honest IT support is also the companion to the Digital Life Management System and to Accounted For. Bring any step from the guides, the Workbook, or the book, and we work through that step together.
You book thirty minutes on Google Meet, and you and I work through the problem together. Screen sharing stops before any sign-in. Nothing is recorded, and your next steps are made clear at the end of the call.

Setting up a password manager, freezing your credit, turning on legacy contacts, or filling in the Workbook are all good uses of thirty minutes. Any step from the guides or the book is welcome.
HonestlyIf your device needs a repair shop or the company that made it, I tell you plainly.Straight answersNo upselling
Some problems belong with a repair shop or the maker of the device. When that is the case, you hear it from me right away.

Nothing is recorded. You leave the call knowing what is fixed and what to do next.
What is true when you hang up.
- You worked in your own accounts, on your own device.
- Nobody asked for your password.
- Nothing was recorded.
- You know what was fixed and why.
- You know exactly what to do next.
- If the problem belongs elsewhere, you know where to take it.
From Accounted For
My job was to sit with people, hand them a phone, and watch where they got stuck.
Ashley KarrAccounted For
Hi, I’m Ashley.
I have worked for more than twenty years in accessibility, trust and safety, and product research and design. I helped create many of the systems our day-to-day lives depend on: banking, payments, identity, and fraud protection. One of my roles was vice president of product research at JPMorgan Chase, and I hold a master’s degree in human factors and systems engineering.
I write books, teach, and build good products. Whatever brought you here, I’m glad you came.

Read my storyYou have questions, and I have plain answers.
Will you ask for my password?
Never. Screen sharing stops before any sign-in, and you type your own passwords on your own device.
Do you take control of my computer?
Only if you choose to share the mouse. You stay in charge of your own screen the whole time.
Is the session recorded?
No. Nothing is recorded.
What if my problem cannot be fixed on a call?
If your device needs a repair shop or the company that made it, I tell you plainly, so you do not spend money on the wrong help.
Can I use a session with the System or the book?
Yes, and that is what I built it for. Bring the step you are on from any guide, the Workbook, or Accounted For, and we work through that step together.
How do I book a time?
